  • *1.These terms and conditions should be read with the Booking Conditions and insurance information in our brochures or on our website. Especially note Sections 2, 4 and 7 of the Booking Conditions.
  • 2. Offer applies only to bookings for 2014 which are booked before 31st March 2014.
  • 3. The low deposit payable under this offer is £25.
  • 4. ~“Nothing more to pay until 2014” applies to bookings for arrivals between 13th March and 31st December 2014. Bookings made for arrivals between 1st January and 12th March 2014 will have balance payments due at the end of 2013.

The difference between the £25 low deposit and the usual deposit shown in our main brochure or website is payable with the balance payment, which we must receive no later than 10 weeks before your booking starts, or at the time of cancellation if you cancel your booking. This payment will include all applicable charges as detailed on your booking confirmation, including any insurance premiums and any Ferry costs. If payment is not received in full on time, we can treat your booking as cancelled by you for a non-refundable reason. If this happens, you will be responsible for cancellation charges (as shown in our main brochure or our website) including any deferred Booking Fee, Personal Travel Insurance and Ferry crossings that you have chosen to buy, all of which must be paid immediately.

  1. The Gite was everything we could ask for. The best we have been to in 16 years! The owners were friendly, helpful and charming. Nothing was too much trouble and we had a lovely drink one evening with them. Very quiet location which was a blessing with lovely gardens to enjoy. If you havent visited this region before then this gite will be excellent for you. Hope to visit again. June 2012.
  2. A wonderful gite in a lovely area, with great owners who couldn’t have been more helpful (especially when my car battery went flat!). Gite had everything needed for a comfortable stay with superb views across to valley and of the tower of a beautiful 11th C Romanesque church in the village of Cellefrouin. Everything you need can be obtained in nearby Chasseneuil and my only warning is, unless you have Sat Nav, turn right when leaving Lidl! Oct 2011.
  3. Very clean and roomy gite. One bedroom but a bed in the lounge could be utilised for a child or extra adult. Plenty of seating and although a very cold snap when we visited the area, the cottage was soon warm with the heating provided and the lovely log fire. Plenty of hot water for the kitchen and bathroom. Nice outlook high up above Chasseneuil plus a good size pool for use in the summer months. March 2010.

  1. The location of the property is ideal for touring and the owner who lived on site is a font of knowledge on the local area and where to visit. The property was tidy with large spacious rooms and well equipped. This was due to the original property having works undertaken, therefore the owner gave us his largest property at no extra cost. However the pool sprung a leak before we arrived and was not available during our stay (we received compensation from the owner at the end of the visit) It was fixed as we left and looked amazing. There is plenty to see and do around this region of France. June 2012.

  1. We have used several holiday cottages, but this one was exceptional in style, comfort, size and hospitality received from the owners. We hope to return. June 2012.
  2. The location was ideal for our tour of that part of France. The host family were delightful - helpful and friendly but not intrusive. The cottage can be summed up in a word "magnifique". The grounds and gardens which we were free to roam in were just coming into bloom so that was a bonus. June 2012.
  3. This was the THIRD time we booked this particular holiday. The owners go out of their way to make you feel at home.The Grounds are gorgeous and large making it perfect for dogs. The house is spacious and really well equipped. Only drawback is the actual distance to the Gite (we travel on the chunnel because of our dog). Sept 2011.
  4. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The owners were really friendly and generous, it was lovely to have such a well-equipped gite and we very quickly felt at home. The garden was a real highlight and the surrounding area was very pretty. It would have been useful,as it was quite a rural area, to have an info sheet telling us where the nearest supermarket was and giving details of places nearby. There were however a lot of leaflets left to look at. We would definitely visit again and would highly recommend this property. Aug 2011.

  6. Superb Gite, I have stayed in many & few of them can match this. Everything you could need is provided so don’t turn up with anything except food, clothing, a few good books & your favorite cd’s. The Gite by far exceeds the photo’s on the web site, this barn conversion would have easily made a four bedroom house but the owners chose to make a sanctuary for couples. Luce & Joel are the perfect hosts & are quite delightful. They’re right next door if you need any help but very discreet & unobtrusive. There were fresh flowers in every room & some lovely sweets & treats waiting for us. You won’t find a nicer place than this. July 2011.
  7. What a lovely place to stay, I go to sleep in rainy England remembering that lovely sunny terrace in the evening sunshine, heaven! We could not believe how lucky we were to have found such a lovely place. The owners were so kind and helpful and had left us all kinds of treats, there were flowers in all the rooms. We are so disappointed to see that it is already booked for most of September and all of October next year (but not at all surprised). Sept 2010.

  12. If anyone wants to have a relaxing holiday then this is the place for you. We drove down from Caen and the journey was well worth it. The property is set in such a tranquil setting and is near a lot of interesting places, eg: futurescope. Just under 2 hours drive is the vendee region. Poitiers is another place to visit which is 25 mins drive away. We thoroughly recommend this property.The owners Luce & Joel were very helpful. Luce speaks a little english, Joel does not. Our french improved while we were there. June 2007.

  15. The owners make perfect hosts as they are reassuringly adjacent yet are not intrusive. The property is spacious and the extensive grounds are well maintained by them. The sheltered patio faces into the garden/"park" grounds and boasts an electrically operated canopy. Privacy in peaceful surroundings yet not far from the village & shops. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.   1. In the words of my 9 year old son - today we left Helen’s awesome and home like cottage... Helen was fantastic and the accommodation is an utter delight.
