  • *1.These terms and conditions should be read with the Booking Conditions and insurance information in our brochures or on our website. Especially note Sections 2, 4 and 7 of the Booking Conditions.
  • 2. Offer applies only to bookings for 2014 which are booked before 31st March 2014.
  • 3. The low deposit payable under this offer is £25.
  • 4. ~“Nothing more to pay until 2014” applies to bookings for arrivals between 13th March and 31st December 2014. Bookings made for arrivals between 1st January and 12th March 2014 will have balance payments due at the end of 2013.
  • 5. Does not apply to properties that sleep 10 or more.
  • 6. The difference between the £25 low deposit and the usual deposit shown in our main brochure or website is payable with the balance payment, which we must receive no later than 10 weeks before your booking starts, or at the time of cancellation if you cancel your booking. This payment will include all applicable charges as detailed on your booking confirmation, including any insurance premiums and any Ferry costs. If payment is not received in full on time, we can treat your booking as cancelled by you for a non-refundable reason. If this happens, you will be responsible for cancellation charges (as shown in our main brochure or our website) including any deferred Booking Fee, Personal Travel Insurance and Ferry crossings that you have chosen to buy, all of which must be paid immediately.

    1. This property is clean, comfortable, very pleasant and a good base to explore the southern and western parts of Normandy. From that perspective I strongly recommend it. However, my only criticism is for visitors is not to bother cleaning the property nor going out of your way to take glass bottles to the recycling centre, or taking rubbish to the picnic site, because the owner of the property will still deduct 40 euros even if you have done this. One would assume that providing a maintenance clean and taking your rubbish and recycling away with you would protect your deposit, clearly not. Aug 2012.
    2. We really enjoyed our stay at Les Cassiaux. The cottage is well located for exploring the Basse-Normandie and East Britanny areas and it is relatively easy to reach Mont Saint-Michel, Saint-Malo and the Cotentin peninsula (all beautiful). The cottage is in a very quiet spot, it’s well equipped and comfortable. The owner is very pleasant to deal with and gave us a lot of advice. I can recommend it. Oct 2011.
    3. Although simple, the accommodation is perfectly satisfactory for a holiday stay. Of the close by two small towns St Hilaire has more to offer than Mortain. There are many tourist attractions within easy reach, the countryside is most attractive and the roads uncrowded and well surfaced! July 2011.
    4. Our holiday was everything we dreamed about and more! The peaceful location gave us the opportunity to relax in our spacious cottage. Having a car gave us the chance to explore local attractions such as Mt St Michel and Bayeux. We enjoyed walks in the local wood, admiring the waterfalls and sunset. The weather was perfect and the cottage was exactly as we found it on the website. April 2011.
    5. The cottage was in good decorative order and well designed to cater for adults and teenagers.The situation was beautiful ,with rustic qualities.We loved the sheep and horses which grazed in the surrounding fields. It was very spacious and comfortable. Aug 2010.

    1. A wonderful place for a relaxing break in the Normandy countryside. About 25 miles west of Bayeux, Le Manoir de la Vallee is tucked on a quiet country lane a couple of miles south of the town of Isigny sur Mer. The property is just stunning; a small chateau is an accurate description with a wonderful fairy tale style turret containing the staircase to the first floor. The large grounds and spacious rooms gave plenty of space for our party of six (four adults, two pre-schoolers) to feel at home, with lots of capacity for absorbing the youngsters’ noise - and an excellent Easter egg hunt on Easter Sunday. The owners had supplied everything we could possibly need, including lots of little touches we simply hadn’t thought of, including kiddie bath toys. Definitely a gem to find, and one to recommend. The little ones loved feeding the horse and cows through the gate just on the other side of the road - an unexpected bonus. April 2012.
    2. Very beautiful house with lots of character. Going up the spiral stone staircase in the turret to bed each night was like a fairytale! It was tastefully furnished and well equipped. We were unlucky with the weather but open log fires every night kept us warm and being close to all the museums and beaches from the Normandy beaches we kept ourselves busy. June 2011.
    3. Excellent accommodation and location, and the weather also helped. Slight confusion over charges, linen ok, tax ok, additional minor charge for tea, sugar etc etc, but we were not aware of this facility until we were leaving so did not use the tea, sugar etc provided. April 2011.
    4. The Manoir was even more beautiful than the photos suggested, both inside and out, and it was extremely well furnished and equipped. May 2010.
    5. The welcome from Mdm. Loire, the extensive grounds, the tranquility of the very rural environment, the dramatic structure & layout of the Manoire were all very impressive. Furnishings were tasteful & very French, but the bedrooms v bathrooms equation means that the layout is best suited for a family rather than 4/5 couples. Sept 2009.

      1. L’Embellie is a wonderful property in a traditional French village. Peaceful and quiet yet within easy reach of the main towns. The owners were delightful people and very helpful. The house is a traditional restored farmhouse and offers excellent accommodation with a fantastic conservatory which formed a meeting place for the whole family.
