This is a perfect base to explore wonderful countryside and places of interest. The historic town of Vire, 14km, offers a beautiful castle, the Old Clock Tower Gate and numerous museums, or visit the charming old copper bell foundry town of Villedieu-les-Poêles, famous for the making of copper, with its medieval courtyards and restaurants, bars and shops. For a family day out, visit the excellent zoo at Champrepus, or the beaches on the Atlantic Coast are only half an hour’s drive.

  1. Good sized accommadtion, plenty of room for 5 of us. A larger TV would be good for relaxing in front of in an evening. Good outside space/ garden to play about in. Close to amenities in St Server. About an hour from Bayeux and D-Day beaches- roads good. Several nice towns/ beaty spots on way to Falaise, where the castle is being rebuilt (William the Conqueror). Aug 2011.
  2. It was conveniently located, had nice large garden and huge stock of DVDs. Sept 2009.
  3. The location of the property is very good for exploring Normandy as there is so much to do and see. The property is excellent for a family with young children. April 2009.
