Property Description

Located in the beautiful area of Cornouaille, this traditional 18th-century former farm building, is set in a remote hamlet surrounded by fields and woods. Situated only a short distance from the Bay of Douarnenez, gateway of the Crozon Peninsula and les Monts d’Arrée at the heart of the Armorique Regional Park, it is said to be the highest point of Brittany. Within a 10-minute drive are the beautiful beaches of Douarnenez or Ste. Anne-La-Palud. The medieval city of Quimper is close by and makes a lovely way to spend a day. The cobbled streets and gothic cathedral have drawn visitors here for many years and the banks of the River Odet make the perfect spot for a picnic.

  1. Excellent base for exploring surrounding coastline and nearby historic towns. Host and French residents with whom we came in contact were very friendly. The thick granite walls of the house made the lounge a bit cold during September. Also taking your own bedding is a good idea. Overall a very enjoyable holiday. Sept 2012.

  3. Very interesting complex of old farm buildings. Accommodation good but single beds not very comfortable for older backs! Wonderful old carved furniture in living room with modern seating and TV - a good contrast. Plenty of space outside for meandering about. Another sun lounger (only one available) would be useful but otherwise many chairs (internal and external) provided together with external tables for alfresco dining. Overall, a spendidly relaxing setting. July 2006.
